Welcome Rick Hardy
Please join us in welcoming our newest teacher teaching a NEW CLASS - Mindful Vinyasa Flow on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5PM starting September 3, 2024. If you have never tried a vinyasa flow class, you'll love this one. Rick teaches a sequence of postures linking movement to breath. You will strengthen your body and calm your mind as you move through sun salutations (vinyasa), standing/ balancing postures (asana) and finally cooling down with a seated stretching sequence. The room will be heated to a warm 90-95 degrees.
Rick found his way to a yoga studio in June 2006. His journey to this practice started with finding relief from a lower back issue. It was supposed to be a short time of learning some flexibility and mobility movements and then moving on. He never left, practicing yoga consistently for over 16 years.
Eventually, he was asked to consider teaching. That prompted him to take the time to complete and receive a 200 hour certification from My Vinyasa Practice September 26, 2023. Rick currently teaches Vinyasa Flow in Austin.
He does his best to connect with the students and determine the direction of the class based on who is in the class. He will introduce classical Yoga Postures in line with a Vinyasa flow sequence to motivate students while remaining sensitive to individual needs. His desire is to hear the feedback and learn from it.
Rick treasures the students that attend his class and never takes them for granted. He believes anyone at any level can benefit from coming together and practicing in a group setting. His hope is that you can find the same sense of community he found. It may change your life.
