We’re expanding our Class Offerings!

Now that the kids are back in school and we are in the midst of an End of the Summer Challenge, it’s the right time to add new classes and new teachers to Hill Country Hot Yoga’s schedule.

On Mondays and Wednesdays starting on September 2nd, April Vidal will be leading us through a Hot Power Vinyasa class from 7:45-8:45am.

This power vinyasa flow sequence is based on the Baptiste Yoga Journey into Power sequence.  Baron Baptiste created the sequence as an accessible, internally intelligent and powerful variation of the Ashtanga Primary Series.  It has evolved from that sequence into something safer and more adaptable to all levels of experience and fitness from beginner to advanced practitioners.

The class is an all-encompassing sequence that includes sun salutations for creating heat, forward beds, backbends, twists, balancing poses, hip openers, inversions/arm balances and core integration work.  The class is a perfect blend of standing, seated and rejuvenating restful poses.

In short, it contains a little bit of everything for a well-rounded practice. It serves as a blueprint for a safe and effective practice that strengthens and opens the body, challenges all levels of practitioners and can be adapted for injuries, pregnancy, beginning and advanced students. The Power Vinyasa Flow Sequence is a thorough athletic, sweaty, and vigorous practice intended to inspire students to play at their own personal edge, and to discover the power and possibility inside of themselves.

The class is heated 95-98 degrees.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Rick Hardy will be leading us through a Mindful Heated Vinyasa class from 4-5PM.

As we strengthen the body and calm the mind, we open ourselves up to a transformational experience! This class will take you through a series of vinyasas, asanas and finally cooling down with a seated series.  The room is heated to a warm 90 to 95 degrees to increase strength and flexibility in the body.  This class is recommended for everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Vinyasa flow focuses on linking the breath with each movement. We breath into the pose, then go a little deeper on the exhale. The flow is made of different postures (asanas). In this practice you increase body heat, build upper body strength, find opportunities to stretch the legs and reset the spine. Progressing from simple asanas to begin with you will start to flow into more complex postures. This smooth transition between poses is where the guidance is offered. The instructor will offer modifications for beginners through advanced practitioners so every level can be challenged.

And finally, we are adding a Hot 26/2 - 60 class every Friday afternoon at 4:30-5:30PM. The teacher will rotate between Holly and Tracey.

Come join our End of Summer Challenge and enjoy a variety of classes on our comprehensive new schedule.
